چکیده

INTRODUCTION For MR applications such as contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA), it is desirable to simultaneously achieve high spatial and temporal resolutions; however fully-sampled Cartesian acquisition of large matrices is time consuming. View sharing combined with parallel imaging (PI) improves temporal resolution [1], as does incoherent under-sampling with compressed sensing (CS) [2] or Cartesian HYPR reconstruction [3,4]. Here, we describe how ARC parallel imaging [5] and HYPR can be used in combination to robustly reconstruct high temporal and spatial resolution images from highly under-sampled Cartesian data and show in vivo feasibility results for lower extremity CE-MRA.

Accelerated 3D Time-Resolved MR Angiography using Cartesian HYPR LR Reconstruction

INTRODUCTION In many MR applications, it is desirable to achieve high spatial and temporal resolution at the same time, such as contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA). However, fully-sampled Cartesian acquisition for large matrices is extremely time consuming and precludes the simultaneous achievement of both goals. Several Cartesian undersampling methods, such as CAPR [1], TRIPPS [2] and va...

Differential Subsampling with Cartesian Ordering (DISCO): a novel k-space ordering scheme for dynamic MRI

Purpose: Dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCEMRI) and MR angiography (MRA) are both beset by the conflicting requirements of spatial and temporal resolution. Various schemes have been proposed and evaluated for high spatio-temporal resolution MR imaging [1-4]. They all incorporate combinations of partial Fourier imaging, sub-sampling, view sharing and parallel imaging to effect acceleration. The ...

Compressed Sensing and HYPR

Introduction MRI is a powerful medical imaging modality that allows for 2D and 3D imaging in arbitrary scan orientations. However, in some clinical applications its full potential is compromised by the lack of imaging speed, e.g. in dynamic imaging such as interventional MRI or bolus tracking in MR Angiography, or in lengthy acquisitions such as MR spectroscopy, diffusion tensor imaging, 4D pha...

HYPR PR-TRICKS: Highly Undersampled hybrid radial/Cartesian acquisition with HighlY constrained backPRojection reconstruction for time resolved MRI

INTRODUCTION In time-resolved MRI, there is a trade-off between spatial and temporal resolution due to requirement of the Nyquist theorem. Previously, we described a time-resolved hybrid radial/Cartesian acquisition, PR-TRICKS [1], which combines in-plane radially undersampled acquisition with through-plane Cartesian TRICKS acquisition to provide large undersampling factors. We have recently de...

Congenital Heart Disease: Role of Time-Resolved MR Angiography

Background and Objective: Cardiac MRI and contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA) are gaining interest as non-invasive diagnostic measures for both primary diagnosis and follow up of patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) (1). Due to the presence of complex anatomy and extensive collateral pathways between pulmonary and systemic circulation in patients with CHD, a highly temporally reso...
